To tell you a little bit more about me I enjoy event planning, crafting, being creative, decorating and artistic.
I enjoy being a DJ’s wife. Why you may ask? It’s because of the people we meet. I have to admit that one of my favorite events to do are weddings. There’s so many things that the couple’s and their family have to do and prepare.
Some reception halls are great, others may need a decorative touch to bring in the ambiance of the moment.
For example at my wedding we had to put drapes on the walls. Otherwise, it would be wooden paneling. I don’t think so! It made a huge difference to the hall. When I walked into the hall for the first time I was so amazed at the transformation. I had great helpers! My wedding colors were navy blue and ivory.
Take a look at these decorative tips:
The arch: This is the place the priest, bride and groom stand….plus lot’s of picture’s will be taken! Here in this photo you see it is first covered with tulle then color’s of the wedding are included. There’s decorative flowers at the top of the arch and 2 planter’s on the side of the arch. For this area it’s important to put in the last minute touches to make this area just right. For the first part of the night the main focus will be in this area so do what you do!
Tables: Use table cloths that are in the same color theme of the wedding. It truly ties everything together.
Here a bird cage was used with a bouquet of flowers inside. Instant camera are a great addition to the reception. If your not able to get a photographer for your wedding instant cameras are the best way to go. Other people may be able to capture a moment when the photographer or other guests may not. Now if there’s going to be kids present. It maybe a good idea to have someone keep track of the camera’s. Some of my picture’s came out….well they didn’t! The ceiling and floor was captured. Keep that in mind.
Make sure that you have the food, utensils, cups, etc. in one local for when people serve themselves.

Now for the cake take make sure it too is in the color theme. You may want to add a few decorative touches to this table as well

Wedding’s are great! I enjoy meeting each new couple. The focus is on them…it should be. We meet with the couple, help them plan their event, we give them the event planner where they can take home and go through the type of dance they want (mother and groom/father of the bride and bride/first song as husband and wife/money dance/every dance in between)! Remember a true DJ will know the music first hand to know what’s appropriate. Not only will a DJ know the song but we also know the meaning of them as well. Happy planning!
